Delhi High court granted Regular bail in Rs. 7000 Crores case of ED
Delhi High court granted Bail to Manpreet Singh Talwar in case no CC No. 54/2023 titled as directorate of enforcement vs k k overseas on 28.04.2023 in connection with Rs. 7000 Crores trade based money laundering scam. The bail was argued on 17.03.202e and 28.04.2023 by Shri. Sidharth Joshi, learned advocate appearing wherein Mr. Joshi had argued that the accused is eligible to get default bail under section 167(2) as he was arrested 22.11.2022 as charge sheet was not filed within the mandate period of 60 days, also despite filing of chargesheet it states that substantial investigation is still pending, in which circumstance the accused cannot be kept inside the jail.
Mr. Joshi further pointed out that non grant of Bail would be pre-trial punishment which is impermissible in law. Mr. Joshi also raised various faults of the investigation agency as the investigating agency has only submitted the incomplete charge-sheet. Thus in all these counts his clients deserve Bail. The Hon’ble Court had agreed on his submissions and granted Bail to Manpreet singh Talwar while allowing the Petition he is the first one to get Bail in this huge scam.
Earlier also Mr. SIDHARTH JOSHI Mr Deepak Aggarwal was granted bail in connection with scam of Rs 1,500 Crore trade based on money laundering by Andhra Pradesh High Court. His efforts have also resulted in fruitful result s to various other client in getting bail, Ms Navneet Badla who was arrested in various cases was granted bail by the effort of Mr Joshi.
